I have information about dozens of other FREE and easy to use applications. Below are my personal favoites.
FREE Applications that really work. NOTE: When (or if) you upgrade to Windows 7, there will surely be lots of applications that will not be compatible. The below applications were among the first to update compatibility when Windows Vista was released. The same should be true now that Windows 7 was officially released in October 2009.

IrfanView - You can open and edit images to include some motion formats. Not as powerful as Photo Shop but, It's FREE!

Paint.Net - Don't let the name fool you! This is a quick and easy tool to retouch, fix and manipulate almost all still image formats.
It includes tools to crop, rotate, resize images, adjust colors, control transparency and create collages. You can also convert most image formats to any of the most used formats. It's a "Must Have" and I can't imagine why it's FREE!
